Human rights and freedoms have provided the foundation for justice as well as for the values of mankind and development policy.

The National Human Rights Commission of Mongolia has the duty to protect and promote human rights and freedoms that are guaranteed by the Mongolian Constitution as well as other international human rights treaties and conventions.

The Commission also has the duty to run public awareness campaigns and monitor the implementation of human rights and freedoms activities to ensure the human rights and freedoms in Mongolia can be enjoyed and in order to improve human rights education, eliminate human rights violations and bring the attention of the Mongolian State to human rights violations.

On behalf of the National Human Rights Commission of Mongolia, I would like to take this opportunity to thank those citizens, Prosecutor’s, Judicial, police and court implementing organizations, civil society, the media, the UN and its agencies, international and regional human rights institutions who provide substantial assistance and make a contribution to the promotion and protection of human rights in Mongolia.
