Delegates of the Myanmar National Human Rights Commission visits Mongolia


At the invitation of the National Human Rights Commission of Mongolia, delegates of the Myanmar National Human Rights Commission (MNHRC), including Mr.Win Mra, Chairperson of the MNHRC, visited Mongolia along with officers of the Raoul Wallenberg Institute on 15-17 September and exchanged experiences with the NHRCM.

During this study tour, the MNHRC delegates visited the NHRCM, National Gender Committee, and the Statnding Committee on Legal Affairs of the State Great Khural on 15 September and traveled to the Umnugovi province on 16 September. 

Delegates of the Myanmar National Human Rights Commission visits Mongolia

At Dalanzadgad, the capital of Umnugovi province, the delegates reviewed and studied the process of the Human rights campaign organized by the NHRCM including human rights training sessions conducted for the local government officers, policy analysis and inquiry activities, and complaint handling and legal counseling service. After the visit to the Umnugovi province, the MNHRC delegates visited Pre-trial Detention Center 461 in Ulaanbaatar and had a meeting with the Advisory Board of the NHRCM on 17 September 2014. The delegates left for their country on 18 September.
