NHRCM delegates selected as Torture Prevention Ambassadors

Asia Pacific Forum of the national human rights institutions and Association for Prevention of Torture, which is headquartered in the Great Britain, jointly have launched “Torture Prevention Ambassador” programme among the national human rights institutions within the Asia Pacific from 2014 to 2016.

These international organizations has made selection among 21 national institutions in the region and chose 11 delegates of 7 intitutions.

As a result, Ms. Oyunchimeg Purev, Commisisoner of the National Human Rights Commission, and Mr. Agar-Erdene Gankhuyag, Head of the Policy Analysis and Human rights Education Division of the National Human Rights Commission of Mongolia, has been designated to work as Torture Prevention Ambassadors from 2014 to 2016 in the Asia Pacific Region.
